The Colonial Days Party & the Rave (Friday Night at Dragon Con 2006)

Baltar speaks! Callis was only at the party for a short time. It was really cool seeing him up on stage.












Starbuck (one-woman-army) put together a really great costume. The mug was a nice touch.

Aaron wins. I wish my digital camera had been fast enough to capture this, but Boomer decided she wanted to make out with Aaron. Aaron Douglas is a very nice guy, and charismatic as Hell in person.

Did I mention how awesome Aaron Douglas and Tahmoh Penikett were at the Colonial Days Party?

There were a large number of Browncoats at the Colonial Days Party. Here's a lovely girl dressed as Kaylee.

I got to chat with Aaron Douglas and James Charles Leary a bit. I mostly spoke with Leary because I was a Buffy fan and I didn't recognize him (it turns out he played Clem). Douglas was nice enough to say up front that he can't say anything about Season 3, but it will "blow you away." And that's cool. I trust the production team for the show. They've done a great job in the last two seasons and mini-series.

(If Mike Smash is reading this, he might want to skip past the next part until he's seen the second half of season 2)

I also told him how happy I was that his character got together with Cally (and that I think they have a nice on screen chemistry). He autographed my badge, and I got out of his hair.

(I really thought the autograph would stay on the badge. It didn't, but it was nice while it lasted.)

Colonial Days had plenty of room, but there really weren't that many people there. I like smaller parties, and I had a blast. I kinda expect next year's to be larger, though. People will probably show up hoping that cast members will make an appearance and hang out.


This is my favorite picture from the Rave. I loved watching her move. She tried to get me to try out the Hula Hoop, but I politely turned her down. Sometimes, being worried about looking silly gets in the way of having a good time.





I hope Photobucket behaves while I upload my next batch of pictures.
